Kitchen Cabinets

Replace or Paint?

If there are structural or functional issues then it may be time to replace, but if you have good quality cabinets and like the way your kitchen functions then changing the color and hardware is the way to go and alot cheaper.  If you wanted to dress up the kitchen further we are able to add crown, dress up the island with deco panels, legs or corbels, switch to soft close hinges.

The Process

Painting kitchen cabinets seems easy enough, but preparation is critical for proper adhesion. The doors and drawer fronts will be taken off and sprayed at our shop. We start by cleaning with a degreaser as needed and then sand flat areas with orbital sanders and hand sand the curves to give the new finish a sound surface to stick to. All caulking and imperfections are addressed at this point. A vinyl primer is applied before two finish coats. We only use cabinet grade catalyzed lacquer products. The same thing you would get on brand new cabinets. Cabinet boxes and doors are all sprayed for a factory finish. You will only lose function of your kitchen for one day. The doors are usually done within 5 days.

The base price for kitchens is $2500.00 or $100.00 per door/drawer front. Islands would be a little more.
